Why MHMATTERS365 Exists
MHMATTERS365 was born during a season of deep reflection—a time marked by emotional growth, vulnerability, and a genuine search for understanding. During that season, I often found myself wondering why so many people move through the world carrying unkindness, and what pain might be sitting beneath the surface.
As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I have witnessed firsthand how emotional wounds, chronic stress, trauma, and unmet mental health needs can quietly shape behavior. What may appear as anger, withdrawal, or harshness is often a reflection of someone who feels overwhelmed, unheard, or simply exhausted from carrying too much for too long. Through both my personal experiences and clinical practice, I came to understand that many individuals are not unkind by nature—they are hurting.
Those realizations planted the seed for MHMATTERS365. This practice was created to be a place of compassion, understanding, and emotional safety—a space where individuals and families feel truly seen, heard, and valued. Here, care is never rushed, judgment has no place, and every story matters. Healing begins with connection, and it grows through patience, empathy, and respect.
